The TRV Polar record attempt team are experiencing their own version of the ‘Frozen Planet’ thanks to delays caused by last minute weather problems and a freak suspension failure during the final shakedown of the concept vehicle. The team were hoping to set off on their epic journey on the 14th but are now looking at the 17th for a start date. The vehicle is now undergoing final repairs and checks in a makeshift garage/workshop in Union Glacier in Antarctica…….
You can keep up to date and follow their progress via the live feeds at the expedition website. Everyone at IND wishes them well, and fingers crossed for good weather and a clean get away on the 17th. We are all confident that we will have a new world record within a few days!
